Adam Herbison

Adam is an experienced physiotherapist, based in Whangarei, who is passionate about treating all types of injuries from acute accidents to chronic pain. He enjoys helping people to reach their best possible outcome through a hands-on approach and a good understanding of manual therapy and sports medicine.

Adam has experience working with a large range of conditions, including:

Adam is really passionate about working as a physiotherapist. He first found his passion for physiotherapy through experiencing his own injuries from running, calisthenics, surfing and competing internationally in Taekwon-Do.

Jon Paolo Balagan

Paolo is a qualified Physiotherapist who began his practice in the Philippines and brings over

Eight years of experience in a tertiary hospital setting, providing care across acute wards, ICU, surgical ICU, general medicine, and outpatient rehabilitation. He has extensive expertise in musculoskeletal physiotherapy, managing a wide range of conditions including knee, shoulder, foot, and spinal injuries. He also supports rehabilitation following orthopaedic surgery and fractures, as well as sports-related injuries such as ligament tears and tendinopathies, with a strong focus on safe return to sport and optimal performance.

Paolo also brings solid experience in neurological rehabilitation, including stroke, Parkinson’s disease, spinal cord injury (SCI), and peripheral nerve injuries, with a focus on restoring function, independence, and quality of life. He has a strong interest in working with older adults, supporting them to maintain mobility, independence, and confidence in daily living.

Moreover, his experience in Australia’s logistics sector has further strengthened his understanding of occupational and work-related musculoskeletal conditions, particularly neck and back pain, repetitive strain injuries, and carpal tunnel syndrome, with a strong emphasis on prevention and patient education.

Outside of physiotherapy, Paolo enjoys music and plays a variety of instruments, including drums, guitar, and piano, and maintains an active lifestyle, enjoying basketball, badminton, running, and cycling. This allows him to relate well to active individuals and artists, and to deliver tailored rehabilitation programs that support both recovery and long-term performance

goals.
